The annual Peata zoo visit was thoroughly enjoyed again this year. We were delighted to see such a wonderful turn-out of visitors, family and friends. Firstly we were introduced to Honey, the zoo dog, and given a taste of her life. Then two talks Melanie Sheridan – The management and environmental enrichment of Chimpanzees, followed by Ken Mackey – Poaching threats to rhino in the wild and in captivity. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all involved and hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
